Alentejo Impressionen

Alentejo is a south-central region of Portugal. The origin of its name, "Além-Tejo", literally translates to "Beyond the Tagus" or "Across the Tagus". The region is separated from the rest of Portugal by the Tagus river, and extends to the south where it borders the Algarve.

Der Alentejo (port. für jenseits des Tejo) ist eine Region in Portugal. Sie umfasst die Distrikte Portalegre, Évora und Beja sowie den Südteil des Distrikts Setúbal. Nachbarregionen sind Region Centro im Norden, de Lisboa im Westen und die bekannte Algarve im Süden. Im Osten grenzt der Alentejo an Spanien, im Westen liegt der Atlantische Ozean.
